Exclusive; Atiq Ahmed’s financier Nafees Biryani died, heart attack in Naini jail, was admitted in SRN hospital

Atiq Ahmed Financier: Nafees Biryani, the financier of mafia Atiq Ahmed, admitted to Swarooprani Nehru Hospital in Prayagraj, has died. This has been confirmed by Prayagraj administration.

Nafees Biryani News: Mafia Atiq Ahmed’s financier Nafees Biryani died on Monday morning. Financier Mohammad Nafees alias Nafees Biryani had a heart attack in Naini Central Jail of Prayagraj on Sunday. After suffering a heart attack in the Central Jail, Nafees Biryani was admitted from the Central Jail of Prayagraj to the Swarooprani Nehru Hospital of the district. He was admitted to the ICU of the hospital.

Nafees Biryani was lodged in Naini Central Jail of Prayagraj. Its death has been confirmed by Prayagraj administration. According to the information given by the administration, ‘due to his ill health, he was admitted to SRN Hospital by the jail administration on Sunday evening. But he died during treatment on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. Doctors have attributed his death to heart attack.

Nafees Biryani Was arrested during the encounter

Actually, Nafees Biryani was an accused in the Umesh Pal murder case and he was arrested late in the evening of 22nd November during an encounter in Anapur area of Nawabganj police station area. Financier Nafees Biryani was also awarded Rs 50,000. Nafees was shot in the leg during the police encounter. After that he was arrested. While in police custody, he was admitted to the hospital for treatment. After this, on December 9, he was shifted to Naini Central Jail in Prayagraj after treatment.

If sources are to be believed, Nafees earlier used to run a paan shop in Civil Line area of Prayagraj. After this he came in contact with Atiq’s brother Ashraf, after which he opened a biryani shop. According to the police, Nafees’s monthly earning was around Rs 2 crore. He used to send a large part of it every month to Atiq’s wife Shaista Parveen. Let us tell you that on April 16 this year, Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf Ahmed were murdered.

Nafees Biryani Dies: Nafees Biryani (50), allegedly involved in the famous Umesh Pal triple murder of Prayagraj, died of heart failure late on Sunday night. Nafees was also considered close to mafia Atiq Ahmed. Nafees Biryani, lodged in Naini Central Jail, was admitted to SRN Hospital on Sunday evening due to ill health. According to the release issued by the media cell of Prayagraj Police, Nafees Biryani, wanted in the Umesh Pal triple murder case, was arrested in a police encounter on November 22, 2023. A reward of Rs 50,000 was also announced on him. He died of heart failure late on Sunday night.

According to doctors, the cause of death in the initial investigation is heart failure. The body is being sent for post-mortem by the police after conducting Panchnama. Let us tell you that the car which was used during the attack on Umesh Pal and his two security guards, allegedly belonged to Nafees Biryani.
Many accused in Umesh Pal murder case still absconding

Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf, named in more than 100 criminal cases including the Umesh Pal murder case, were shot dead at Calvin Hospital in Prayagraj on April 15 this year. Many accused including Atiq’s wife Shaista Parveen, Guddu Muslim, Ashraf’s wife Zainab are absconding. Police is searching for these accused.

Umesh Pal, the main witness in the murder case of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Raju Pal, and his two security guards were shot dead in broad daylight on February 25, 2023. On the complaint of Umesh Pal’s wife Jaya Pal, a case was registered in Dhumanganj police station against mafia Atiq Ahmed, brother Ashraf, wife Shaista Parveen, Atiq’s two sons, Atiq’s associates Guddu Muslim and Ghulam and nine other associates.
