Pratapgarh News: Young man taken hostage in Etawah, demanded 15 lakhs Jethwara police registered a case on wife’s complaint, police engaged in investigation .

A young man, who is into the business of buying and selling old tractors, has been held hostage by some people in Etawah district. A demand of Rs 15 lakh has been made from the wife by sending her photograph of her husband.

The businessman’s distressed wife appealed to the police for help. The police engaged in the investigation, after registering the case, are searching for the youth and the accused.


Rekha Yadav, resident of Puranpur, Jethwara, filed a case that her husband Chhotalal Yadav lives in Mumbai and drives a car. These days he came home and then went to Etawah for some work. On December 12, he had told his wife to come home, but in the evening his mobile got switched off.


On December 13, Rekha received a call from two numbers on her mobile. While talking, her husband told that Om Prakash Patel and Shailendra Yadav, residents of Sukhdev, have kept him hostage. While beating him, they are demanding Rs 15 lakh. Also asked for the photo of Chhotalal being held hostage. Later, the accused who called him while talking to him asked him to bring the money.


When the police investigated on Rekha’s complaint, everyone’s location was found in Etawah. In-charge police station head Vineet Upadhyay said that a case was registered on the basis of the complaint. Investigation has revealed that Chhotalal is involved in buying and selling old tractors. He has taken loans from many people. Perhaps he has been held hostage over a dispute over money transactions. Action is being taken.


A person went missing while coming home from Etawah, the bullies held the driver hostage, a ransom of ₹ 15 lakh was demanded, the driver’s wife complained about the matter in the police station, expressed apprehension of something untoward.

UP Hindi News: A Dalit boy has died due to harsh firing at a wedding ceremony in Pratapgarh, UP. The police have registered a case on the complaint of the deceased’s father and arrested the accused.

Pratapgarh: A 16-year-old Dalit boy was hit by a bullet fired during a wedding celebration in Aspur Devsara area of Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. The Dalit boy fell down after being shot. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, from where he was referred to Prayagraj. The Dalit boy died on Saturday.

Police said on Sunday that there was a ‘Haldi’ ceremony in connection with the marriage of Phoolchandra Dubey’s daughter in Kotia Purdhani of Aspur Devsara area on Friday and during that time, Dubey’s nephew Pintu fired a bullet in joy from his licensed pistol, which hit the tent there. Dalit teenager Ajay Kumar (16) got hit.

Ajay Kumar was taken to Prayagraj in critical condition, where he died during treatment on Saturday. Based on the complaint of Ajay Kumar’s father Suresh, a case has been registered against Pintu and he has been arrested. The pistol used in the crime has also been recovered. Police said that the postmortem of the deceased has been done in Prayagraj.
