Prayagraj: (Reliable Media) After the explosion that occurred while packing a bomb in the PCB hostel room of Allahabad University on Wednesday evening, the police and the university administration have taken strict steps. Hostel Superintendent Sujit Kumar Singh has filed a case against the two students injured in the blast, Prabhat Kumar Yadav and Pratyush Kumar, in Colonelganj police station on charges of Explosives Act and spreading terror by causing a blast. Prabhat Swaroop is admitted in Rani Nehru Hospital, while Pratyush is absconding after switching off his mobile. At the same time, the students allotted to both the hostels have been suspended and one has been sent to jail.


PCB Hostel student sent to jail

After sending one of them to jail, Colonelganj police station in-charge Brijesh Singh said that in the same case, Vishal Kumar, a student allotted room number 68, has been arrested on charges of criminal conspiracy. The arrested student Vishal was produced in the court by the police and he has been sent to Naini jail. Police said that after treatment, Prabhat will also be arrested.


Two students were suspended

Allahabad University administration has taken strict action in this incident and Proctor Dr Rakesh Kumar Singh said that students Vishal Kumar and Ayush Pratap Singh, allotted room number 68, have been suspended and expelled from the PCB hostel. Their entry into the hostel has been banned.

Anuj Prajapati (20), resident of Dhikuhi Khemipur, Kunda, UP, had gone to his room late on Wednesday evening to put his mobile on charging. As soon as he put the mobile on charging, it exploded with a bang.

A BA student got stuck to the cut wire when his mobile phone exploded while charging. He died of electrocution. Family members told that after the blast, the wires of the charger had become exposed, he got electrocuted by those wires and he lost his life due to burns.

Anuj Prajapati (20), resident of Dhikuhi Khemipur, Kunda, UP, had gone to his room late on Wednesday evening to put his mobile on charging. As soon as he put the mobile on charging, it exploded with a bang. The wires of the charger got exposed and in the panic, Anuj’s hand fell on the open wire and he got electrocuted. He suffered severe burns due to electric shock.

When the family members reached there after hearing Anuj’s scream, they were distraught after seeing the situation there. Somehow he was separated from the wire and taken to CHC for treatment. Where the doctors declared him dead.

According to family members, Anuj was a BA student. He was not married yet. Father Brijlal, mother Rajpati and brothers and sisters kept crying over the death of their son. Brijlal has five sons and three daughters, the deceased Anuj was the youngest in the house.
