In Uttar Pradesh, Congress’s strong leader Pramod Tiwari held the chair for 34 years, now daughter Aradhana is handling her legacy responsibility. In the 2017 assembly elections, the preparations of the BJP were foiled by Pramod Tiwari.
Pramod Tiwari’s name was entered in the Guinness Book of World Records for winning nine consecutive times by one assembly constituency, one party and one election symbol. For 42 years, only one party is in control of Pratapgarh’s Rampur Khas assembly.
Senior Congress leader Pramod Tiwari was the MLA from here for 34 consecutive years after jumping into the fray for the first time in 1980. After being elected unopposed as a Rajya Sabha member in the year 2014, he handed over this seat to his daughter Aradhana Mishra Mona.
He is an MLA for two consecutive terms. Pramod Tiwari was MLA from this seat for 10 times. Became Minister of State twice between 1984 and 1989.

Pramod Tiwari was elected unopposed member of Rajya Sabha in the year 2014 after winning the assembly elections for the tenth time in the 2012 assembly elections.
After this he left this seat for his daughter Aradhana Mishra. In the by-elections held in 2014, the BJP wave did not work in Rampur Khas Assembly. Earlier, BJP leaders had put all their strength to surround Congress candidate Aradhana Mishra in the by-election.
This by-election was such, when Pramod Tiwari had separated himself after 34 years. BJP leaders felt that Aradhana Mishra is still new in politics, so this seat can be snatched from her, but Pramod Tiwari demolished the BJP’s fortifications.
Made daughter Aradhana Mishra Mona as MLA of Rampur Khas. In the 2017 assembly elections, Congress candidate Aradhana Mishra defeated her rival BJP candidate Nagesh Pratap Singh by a margin of 17,066 votes.
Now in the assembly elections to be held in 2022, BJP is again making a strategy to surround Pramod. However, how successful it will be, it will be known only after the elections.
