Delhi School Closed : Winter vacation extended in Delhi schools, amid cold wave
Delhi School Closed: A big update has come regarding the closure of schools amid the cold wave in Delhi. All schools up to class 5 in Delhi will remain closed for the next five days. This announcement was made by Delhi Education Minister Atishi.
New Delhi: School holidays have been extended in view of the ongoing cold wave and fog in the capital Delhi. Delhi Education Minister Atishi has announced this by tweeting. He informed that all schools up to class 5 in Delhi will remain closed for the next five days.
The government has taken this decision in view of the winter conditions in Delhi. Even on Saturday night, the Education Department of Delhi had issued an order and decided to extend the school holidays, which was withdrawn after a few hours. Let us tell you that cold wave is going on in Delhi and India Meteorological Department has issued ‘Yellow Alert’ due to dense fog, light rain and drop in temperature for the next few days.
Delhi School Closed till January 10
It is noteworthy that the Directorate of Education had decided to extend the winter vacation in schools till January 10 due to the harsh winter in Delhi. But on Saturday night the government withdrew this order. A Delhi government official said that there was some error in this order. The officer said, ‘The order to extend winter vacation was issued by mistake. The order has been immediately withdrawn and a decision on it will be taken tomorrow morning.
Schools up to 8th closed in Noida till 14th
In view of the harsh winter and dense fog, on the orders of District Magistrate Manish Verma, the holidays of schools from nursery to class VIII in the district have been extended. The Basic Education Officer has ordered all board schools to remain closed till January 14. Classes from ninth to twelfth will run as before from 10 am to 3 pm. Earlier there was a holiday in schools till 6th December.
