CO sahib was caught in an objectionable position with a female constable in the hotel; Yogi took big action

Lucknow: On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, suspended CO Kripa Shankar Kannojia, accused of conduct, has been demoted. Kripa Shankar, who became CO after getting promoted from the post of inspector, will now be an inspector again after this action.

In July 2021, Kripa Shankar, posted as CO Bighapur in Unnao, was found in a compromising position with a familiar lady constable in a hotel in Kanpur. He had left for a day’s leave and had reached Kanpur with a female constable.

When the CO did not reach the house, the wife started looking for him and also informed the police. After which his search started and he met with the female constable in the hotel room. He was suspended and a departmental inquiry was initiated against him under the Conduct Rules.

This was the whole matter: The then CO Kripa Shankar Unnao was posted in a rural circle and is originally a resident of a district of Gorakhpur division. He took leave from the SP to go home. At around four o’clock, he reached the hotel on Mall Road in Kanpur with a female constable and stayed there with a rented room. The female constable was posted at a police station in Unnao’s Bighapur circle.

Here, when the wife called the phone in the night, all the numbers were found switched off. When he inquired, it was found that he had left for home after taking leave. This made the wife even more upset. At night, she had called SP Unnao and sought help, alleging that her husband was murdered.

When the SP immediately activated the surveillance team, their mobile network got switched off at a hotel in Kanpur across the Ganges. Unnao police reached the hotel at around 12 o’clock in the night and on enquiry, it was found that the CO sahib was staying with a woman. After this the police interrogated her and returned. The special thing is that even after all this, the CO spent the night in the hotel along with the female constable and left here in the morning.
