He is also counted among the poets of Raman Singh. In this way, Bharatiya Janata Party has also included Raman Singh. Vishnudev Sai, who started his political career from five positions in his village Bagiya in 1989, was elected unopposed as Sarpanch in 1990. .

After this, he was elected MLA from Tapkara and was a member of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 1990 to 1998. After this, in 1999, Hoti Ravi was elected MP from Raigarh Lok Sabha constituency for the Lok Sabha.

After this, BJP made him the State Teacher President of the party in 2006. After this, in 2009, he again became MP from Raigarh Lok Sabha constituency in the 15th Lok Sabha elections.

After this, he again became the MP from Raigarh for Lok Sabha in 2014 and 2016 and this time the Modi government at the Center made him the Union Minister of State, Ministry of Steel Mines Labor Employment.

He held the same post from 2014 to 2019. The party made him a National Factor Committee member and a special invitee on 2 December 2022. After this, Vishnu Desh Sai was made a member of the National Working Committee of BJP on 8 July 2003.

Vishnudev Sai has also been the state president of BJP in 2020, has also been an MP and a Union Minister, and is counted among the leaders close to the Sangh.
