WPL 2024 Auction: Kashvi sold at 20 times more than the base price, Vrinda Dinesh also surprised

TATA WPL 2024 Auction Highlights: The first season of the Women’s Premier League was played in 2023 and was very successful. Many star players from around the world got a chance in the auction and some were successful in being selected by five franchises. Now the second auction of this edition took place today in Mumbai. The five franchises completed their teams with the remaining amount.


WPL 2024 Auction: Auction ends


The auction has ended. Annabel Sutherland and Kashvi Gautam were the most expensive players for the second season of the Women’s Premier League. Sutherland was bought by Delhi and Kashvi by Gujarat for Rs 2 crore each. Vrinda Dinesh was bought by UP Warriors for Rs 1.3 crore, Shabnim Ismail was bought by Mumbai for Rs 1.2 crore, Phoebe Litchfield was bought by Gujarat for Rs 1 crore. These five were the most expensive players of this auction. Before this auction, a total of 30 slots were vacant and only 30 out of 165 players were sold. 18-18 players from all the teams have been completed. A team can have a maximum of six foreign players.
