Muzaffarnagar: Dabang Dalit cut off the braid of Brahmin, the victim came to meet the officials
A case of robbery, assault and forcibly chopping of a Brahmin’s hair has come to light in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. The incident is being told of 2 September. The victim Brahmin has made a serious allegation against a man for first assault, then robbery and then cutting of his hair. Although the police have told the incident of looting as untrue.
What does the victim Brahmin have to say? According to the victim Pandit Sachin Sharma, resident of Khanjapur-Budhana Mode of Muzaffarnagar, he was returning home from work on September 2. At the same time, ‘Monu’, who lived there, stopped him by giving him his hand. According to Sachin, since he already knew him, he stopped the car.
Pandit Sachin Sharma says that after this Monu suddenly twisted his hand and dropped him on the ground and started assaulting him. Sachin alleges that Monu also had a razor which he put on Sachin’s neck. After this he took out cash worth Rs 5,000 from Sachin’s gem. When he protested, he cut off Sachin’s braid.
Sachin says that in the meantime he had called at his home. That’s why both his daughters also came there. He has also seen everything with his own eyes. Sachin also accused the police and said that even after making a written complaint to the regional police, no action has been taken in this matter. Due to which the victim Pandit along with his family reached the district collectorate on Monday and demanded action from the higher officials.
Police termed the robbery incident as a lie. On the other hand, SP City Satyanarayan Prajapat, while talking to the media, said that the investigation has found the robbery incident to be fake, while the police is investigating other allegations. He told that on Saturday evening a person had informed about the robbery and assault at Budhana Mode outpost, after which the outpost incharge immediately went to the spot and investigated.
He also talked about getting the victim Pandit Sachin medical, but he clearly refused to get the medical done. On the other hand prima facie the applicant appeared to be intoxicated. Apart from this, the incident of robbery has been found untrue in the preliminary investigation. At present, investigation is going on in the matter and further necessary legal action will be taken based on the facts. The police also say that the victim had not said anything like braid cutting in the beginning. A video was also made on the spot, in which loot and assault was said at that time.
