Mela Police launched ‘Operation Sweep’ campaign
Prayagraj Magh Mela On the directions of Superintendent of Police Dr. Rajeev Narayan Mishra, keeping in view the safe, smooth completion of Magh Mela and the upcoming bathing festival and the increasing crowd in the fair area, from 13.30 am to 16.30 am ‘Operation’.
Sweep campaign was launched. During ‘Operation Sweep’, checking of suspicious persons, unclaimed items, explosive materials, parking places, vehicles, encroachments, vacant tents, pontoon bridges etc. was done. All the station in-charges were directed by the Magh Mela Superintendent of Police that in view of the crowd in the Mela area, they would keep a watchful eye in their respective areas.
In particular, the police station in-charge, ancient Ganga, Khak Chowk, Jhunsi, Kalpwasi, Prayagwal was directed to take special care of the people living in their respective areas.
There should be no incidents of theft etc. Keeping in view the infection of Kovid-19, a compliance campaign was conducted in the entire Mela area according to ‘Kovid-19 Guidelines’, checking of people not wearing masks was done and 122 people under Section-15(3) of Uttar Pradesh Kovid-19 Challan action was taken against him and summon fee was collected on the spot.
