Amar Giri, the plaintiff in the suicide case of Mahant Narendra Giri of Baghambari Math, did not appear in the court again on Monday. Testimony has begun in the pending trial. On the application of the prosecution, due to Amar Giri’s continuous absence from the last several due dates, the court had first issued BW and later NPW against Amar Giri. On the last due date, CBI had taken Amar Giri into custody and presented him before the court. An application was given in the court on behalf of Amar Giri that he would be present himself on the appointed date, on which the MPW issued earlier was returned to the court.
CBI special advocate AK Tiwari and district government advocate Gulabchand Agrahari said that Amar Giri’s testimony has not been completed yet. The court has fixed January 2 to complete the testimony.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself reached the monastery on the second day of Mahant Narendra Giri’s suicide. He had directed to form SIT for investigation but the saints unanimously demanded a CBI investigation. After this the Chief Minister recommended a CBI investigation and on September 25, the CBI team took over the case.
Mahant Narendra Giri had told in an 11-page suicide note how his own disciple Anand Giri was blackmailing him. He wrote, ‘Anand has made an objectionable photo with a girl or woman through computer. He threatens to make it viral. If this goes viral then to whom will I answer? The truth will be known later but my name will be defamed.
Mahant had written Anand Giri’s name 14 times in the suicide note. Apart from this, he wrote about Aadya Prasad Tiwari and Sandeep Tiwari that ‘Aadya and Sandeep along with Anand betrayed me. All three together had also released an audio and video, which also defamed me.’ On the basis of Mahant’s suicide note, statements of various people and evidence, CBI filed a charge sheet against Anand Giri, Aadya Prasad Tiwari and Sandeep Tiwari. Has given. All three are still in jail.
The CBI team reached the monastery around 11:15 on Thursday and came out after 8 pm. The exercise continued for about nine hours. During this period, very few people were allowed to reach the room of Mahant Narendra Giri. The servants of the Math also kept watching the CBI action from a distance.
CBI opened the lock of the sealed room of Mahant Narendra Giri. Around Rs 3 crore, jewellery, land documents and many other things were found in the room, which were handed over to Mahant Balveer Giri. – Rajesh Yadav, CO IV
